We believe hospitality should feel real. Not scripted. Not forced. The kind where you’re greeted like you’ve been here before, even if it’s your first time. Because this isn’t corporate. This is personal.

For owners Jeremy and Courtney Wade, Magnolia has been personal from the very beginning.

The original Magnolia Cafe at Central and Woodlawn was one of Jeremy’s dad’s favorite restaurants before it closed in 1999. For years, he encouraged Jeremy to open a place like it someday, but put his own spin on it.

Jeremy never forgot that.

After his dad passed away in 2020, the idea took on a different meaning. In 2022, Jeremy and Courtney opened Magnolia, an homage to a place his dad loved, reimagined through Jeremy’s own point of view and more than 25 years spent as a chef in some of Wichita’s finest kitchens.

It wasn’t their first restaurant. Jeremy and Courtney are also the owners behind Napoli Italian Eatery, where their approach to thoughtful food and genuine hospitality has already become part of Wichita’s dining scene. Magnolia gave them the opportunity to bring that same care to something deeply personal.

The vision was simple: Southern comfort food, made from scratch and done exceptionally well.

We believe a great restaurant should feel like a place you belong. Where conversations linger. Where laughter carries. Where strangers become regulars. Where the food hits, every single time.

And we believe “elevated” doesn’t mean complicated.

Sometimes it simply means taking something familiar, respecting where it came from, and having the skill to make it your own.
